The Family-to-Family Education Program is a free, 12 week course for loved ones and caregivers of individuals with severe mental illness. The course is taught by trained family members and provides: current information on the major mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and others; information about medications; strategies for handling crises and relapse; and most of all, how to cope successfully with a major challenge in your life, which will in turn allow you to best support your loved one’s journey to recovery. The course is open to anyone who has a loved one living with mental illness. For more information or to register for a class, please contact Shannon at (504) 896-2345 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
